OUR TRUSTEES

William Stok is the founder of the William Stok Art Centre in London. He is an artist who has used painting, sculpture, photography, film as a means of expression. Showing widely in Europe, he has worked on public commissions, collaborated on several television programmes and his work is in museum collections. William Stok has also organised shows, taught in universities, writes articles and produced catalogues. He was one of the founders of Barbican Arts Group

 

Rosa Maria Letts is a well known art historian, curator and critic. She was formally the founder and director of Accademia Italiana in London. She lectures, is the author of several publications and numerous articles and now runs Artstur, a cultural organisation focussing on Italian art.

Craig Gourley is knowledgeable in the field of film and drama as well as in the visual arts.

 

Sue Braddell Smith  was formerly a committee member of Cowes Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society.

 

Bice Benvenuto is a psychologist with her own practice who uses art therapy for communicating with autistic children. She has made films, is a lecturer and author of many articles and publications in this field. Bice Benvenuto is a Trustee of the Maison Verte UK, an organisation that helps families, and also a member of CFAR (Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research.

OUR ETHOS

The William Stok Art Centre will provide recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit, but not exclusively, who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons
